The Early Years Pastoral Care Notes (EYPN) system continues its rollout, and is currently live in eight local authorities.
Initially developed to replace the SEEMiS system, which will cease development and support, we took the opportunity to listen to feedback and improve the system and its processes for users.
As part of the setup when local authorities start using the EYPN system, they will receive online training sessions for their staff along with training material that they can refer to later.
As part of the EYPN system, we have developed a Wellbeing module in partnership with East Dunbartonshire Council, Glasgow City Council, Inverclyde Council and South Lanarkshire Council, allowing children on the system to have a suitable action plan alongside their notes, with changes and views being easily tracked and updated.
Wellbeing was rolled out to the first authorities last summer, with more authorities due to start using it in the coming months.
The EYPN system will help establishments achieve the best possible outcome for children and their needs.
