Early Years Pastoral Notes (EYPN) is a secure online system for recording pastoral notes about children in early years establishments.
It allows staff to record areas of concern about a child’s care and welfare or progress in order that appropriate and effective support can be put in place and shared with the staff responsible.
The system also indicates if there is a child protection issue, along with the start and end date and helps local authorities to meet its statutory safeguarding obligations.
- Search by all children or just those with pastoral notes
- View one or more child records and existing notes
- Assign children to multiple establishments
- Add new notes for one or more children and assign a category, event type and action required
- Link notes together for groups of children
- Create alerts, which are emailed to the relevant people and stay on the EYPN homepage until actioned
- Run reports for all notes or those with significant events, by type and child
