Personal Development: Self and Work
The SCQF Level 4 Personal Development Award is a seven-module unit designed to help young people to prepare for and understand the world of work.
The Level 4 Personal Development Award can be completed:
- as a standalone unit
- alongside the Employability & Skills Online programmes - Work related learning and online work experience opportunities
- as a preparatory unit before progressing onto the SQA Work Placement Unit.
Work Placement Units
The Level 3-6 Work Placement units recognise the learning and development that comes from planning and carrying out an onsite work placement. The unit will enable young people to see the value of their work placement within the wider picture of their career aspirations and personal skills.
Evidence can be completed online and verified in school.
We recommend this SQA qualification for anyone wishing to progress onto further or higher education, training or employment, as it can be a valuable addition to UCAS, apprenticeship or job applications.
